Dog Pumpkin Carving – Yesterday was Sunday and we were sitting in our backyard having coffee. Since we are in the first week of October, the Halloween feels have started to sink in. Our kids are so excited to carve a pumpkin that they have tons of ideas. My son suggested superheroes to my daughter’s choice of some fictional character, and we discussed everything. 

While sipping coffee, our dog Coco was quietly sitting between us. He was having his best time with family all around, Coco was enjoying the atmosphere. A quick thought came to my mind – Why not carve coco or any dog pumpkin for this Halloween? 

The idea was approved by our dog loving family and so we decided to carve dog pumpkin carving. 

How to Carve a Dog Pumpkin For Halloween 2022?

• Looking to carve a dog pumpkin? You will need a pencil, marker, tape, printable dog face stencil (we have shared below) and pumpkin carving kit. If you don’t have a kit, a sharp knife will do the job. Pumpkin carving kits are always better than knives but knives can work wonders if done carefully.
• First we need to clean the pumpkin and make it hollow. The inner side of the pumpkin contains seeds and needs to be cleaned in order to carve. Cut the top of the pumpkin to get access into the Pumpkin inner side. 
• With your hand or with a spoon, remove all the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkin.
• Using a scraper or a spoon, scrape the walls of the pumpkin from the inner side. 
• With the help of tape, stick the printed dog stencil on the pumpkin. With the help of a pointed pin, prick marks along the lines of stencil. Once done, remove the stencil and you will get the outline. Draw the outline with the help of a marker.
• Carve the pumpkin once drawing is done. Do this step carefully without hurting your hand or fingers.
• Once you carve it successfully, your Dog pumpkin is done. 
• Light a nice candle inside and decor your home with dog pumpkin.
